Notes from a room at T-Hub
What I took away from Google for Startups’ invite-only Founder Meetup in Hyderabad.
By Harshit Choudhary — Founder & CTO
I was selected for India’s first invite-only Founder Meetup by Google for Startups, hosted at T-Hub in Hyderabad. It was a great room to be in, and it left me with three notes I keep coming back to.
1. Proof beats pitch
The conversations that went furthest were never about vision. They were about what is already running: live venues, settled bills, onboarded exporters. A working system says more in thirty seconds than a deck says in thirty minutes.
2. Depth is a moat
Many founders were building horizontal tools for everyone. The most interesting ones were deep in a single, unglamorous industry — the kind where you only understand the problem after months on the ground. That depth is very hard to copy.
The best founders in the room had all done the work that does not scale — and could prove it.
3. Leverage comes from the right rooms
I walked away with exposure, high-leverage introductions and partnerships that would have taken a year to build cold. The lesson is simple: build something real, then go and stand in the rooms where it can be seen.
Paul Graham’s old advice still holds — do the things that do not scale first. The meetup was a reminder that the founders who do are the ones who get invited back.
